By His Stripes, Original Mixed Media Art

$250.00

“By His Stripes” is a mixed media artwork about mental health and overcoming self-harm with the power of the holy spirit. Hebrews 4:12 says “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” This verse shows me how powerful and important the word of God is, and the way it affects us deeply. Whatever reason someone has for self-harm, the word of God has a reason not to. He sees you; you don’t need to gain attention. He has forgiven all your sins; you don’t have to punish yourself. He provides peace and hope; you don’t have to change your state of mind with a physical response. This artwork can be a reminder to you about how the word of God answers our soul questions better than any other sharp object. “By His stripes we are healed,” Isaiah 53:5.

This original, one-of-a-kind artwork is made with graphite, watercolor and pens. It measures 9”x12,” is signed, and ships from the artist with a certificate of authenticity.
